Meet Our Presenters

George Hufnagl and Shaun Gallagher began their collaborative journey in the spring of 2021 at NetherRealm Studios, where they contributed to the successful releases of Mortal Kombat 1 and Mortal Kombat: Onslaught. With a wealth of individual experience, they bring a combined portfolio of work on notable projects such as Rumbleverse, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Extinction, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Marvel’s Avengers, and Battlechef Brigade.

Beyond NetherRealm, George and Shaun have lent their talents to Chicago-based studios like Iron Galaxy, Phosphor Studios, and Jellyvision, as well as completed freelance work with developers worldwide. Their broad portfolio includes creating sound for advertising campaigns (Slim Jim, Cottonelle, Jet’s Pizza), augmented reality experiences, a game show, and building sound effects libraries. They've also made a mark in children's literature, contributing to dozens of books, including Mom’s Gold Choice Award Winner, We Poop on the Potty.

George holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Composition from Western Illinois University and the University of Iowa, with additional studies in sound design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He lives in Skokie, Illinois, with his wife, Madeline, their two daughters, Phoebe and Winnie, and their loud dog, Zooey.

Shaun, a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Audio for Visual Media, resides near Wrigley Field in Chicago. He shares his home with his partner, Caroline, and their rabbit, Winona.

Together, they both like Jet’s Pizza, but do not care for Slim Jim. Ask them privately about their opinions on Cottonelle toilet paper.
