How to get Involved?
There are many ways to become part of the Human-Centered Schools Network!
Start by completing this interest form to let us know who you are and which of the following options fit your needs. We will be thrilled to have you as a member of our network!
Use SCD Resources
Explore SCD’s Human-Centered Design resources and use them to bring HCD into your classroom or educational practice. Try an activity, adapt a resource to your context, and share what you learn with others in the network. We encourage you to share your experiences and lessons learned at our annual Human-Centered Schools Network Summit.
Visit SCD
Bring your students, colleagues, or school community to the Siebel Center for Design to experience HCD firsthand. Tour our building and engage in hands-on HCD activities selected to meet the needs of your group. Once you express interest, we will meet with you to discuss your goals, possible dates, and the format of your visit. Depending on the activities requested, a fee may apply.
Request a Workshop
Bring HCD professional learning to you and your colleagues. Request a workshop introducing HCD, exploring how to integrate HCD into any discipline, or examining how AI can be incorporated into HCD learning experiences. Have something else in mind? We can work with you to develop a workshop that meets your needs. Workshops can be offered virtually, at your school, or at SCD. Once you express interest, we will meet with you to discuss your goals, format, scheduling, and any associated fees.
Build a Core Team
Partner with the Siebel Center for Design to build lasting HCD capacity within your school. Through a 2–3 year partnership, we will help you develop a Core Team of educators who can champion HCD and support their colleagues. The partnership typically progresses from building the Core Team’s HCD expertise, to supporting the team as they engage and train colleagues, to refining and sustaining HCD practices while connecting with other schools in the network.
Once you complete the Interest Form and engage in one of the options above, you will be recognized on our website as a Participating Member of the Human-Centered Schools Network. You will also receive an invite to participate in the annual Human-Centered Schools Network Summit.
Schools that choose to Build a Core Team receive additional recognition. In addition to listing the Core Team members as Participating Members and inviting them to the Summit, the school will be recognized as one of the Participating Schools of the Human-Centered Schools Network, with a dedicated profile featuring the school and its Core Team members.
