We’re located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus, next to the Art & Design Building and directly across the street from Ikenberry Commons (Ike).

Parking:

  • Metered street parking is available on 4th Street, 6th Street and Peabody Drive.
  • Nearby university lots may be available to visitors after hours/on weekends or with a permit — such as Lot E-18 or Lot E-15 (confirm availability via signage and with Campus Parking Services).

Drop-Off / Loading Zone:

  • A 15-minute unloading zone is available at our south loading dock, accessed via Fourth Street.
  • This is ideal for quick drop-offs of guests or supplies.
  • No parking beyond 15 minutes is allowed. Vehicles blocking the loading dock or dumpsters may be ticketed or towed.

BY BUS

The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) makes getting here easy.

University of Illinois students and staff ride MTD for free with their iCard.

Closest stops:

  • Gregory & 4th (just a short walk away)
  • Fourth & Peabody (steps away)
  • Gregory at Ikenberry Commons (across the street)

From the Illini Union / Main Quad

  • Head south through the Main Quad
  • Pass the English Building, then turn right toward Wright Street
  • Walk south on Wright Street until you reach Armory Avenue
  • Turn right (west) on Armory
  • Continue to 4th Street, then turn left (south)
  • Keep walking — the Siebel Center for Design will be on your left, just past Huff Hall

🕐 About 18 minutes on a good day
 💡 A direct route with sidewalks the whole way — and a great way to take in campus.

From Illinois Street Residences (ISR)

  • Head south on Goodwin Avenue
  • Turn right (west) onto Gregory Drive
  • Turn left (south) onto 6th Street
  • Just past the Gies College of Business, turn right onto the sidewalk behind the Business Instructional Facility (BIF) and Wymer Hall

  • Follow this sidewalk directly to the backside entrance of SCD

Approx. 15–18 minute walk
A pleasant, less-trafficked path that leads you right to the building’s back entrance.
