On Friday, March 25, SCD hosted the very first UIUC UX Day. Design Illinois, a collaboration between SCD and the College of Fine and Applied Arts, welcomed over 50 students to the building to hear professionals in UX talk about their careers, have portfolios reviewed by experts in the field, and enjoy networking time with each other and presenters. 

SCD’s director, Rachel Switzky, welcomed the students and participated in several of the sessions for this inaugural event. 

“What an amazing first-ever UIUC UX Day at SCD,” she said later. “We thought students would be excited to get some in-depth, insider perspective on careers in UX from our panelists and guests, and we believed our guests would enjoy meeting and networking with such an impressive array of student talent. We were right! It was a fantastic day.”
