Introduction to Design Thinking

Introduction to Design Thinking

Our intro course provides a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of design thinking and human-centered design. Students will review, analyze, and reflect on completed design challenges, employing the human-centered design (HCD) approach, and will experience HCD while working collaboratively on a semester-long project. They'll learn methods for performing initial research, project scoping, conducting interviews, creating journey maps and wireframes, brainstorming and proposing ideas, and planning for prototyping - and can expect to develop and implement storytelling and critiquing skills.  Please contact SCD with any questions.
